40 Days for Life – END ABORTION!

Abortion has now become the leading cause of death throughout the world. It is a crisis that is hurting women, dehumanizing the most innocent amongst us. Every year, 42 million children die from abortion throughout the globe. So what is 40 days for life?

40 Days For Life is:

• Prayer and fasting:
Christ told us that some demons can only be driven out by prayer and fasting. The two go hand in hand.
• Constant vigil:
40 Days for Life’s most visible aspect is a peaceful prayer vigil outside an abortion facility.
• Community outreach:
During 40 Days for Life, the message is proactively taken to the community through focused efforts.

All brother Knights are requested to Pray and Fast during these 40 days of Lent to END ABORTION.

Additionally, in honour of the Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney and in commemoration of Founder’s Day, our council will participate in the Vigil and Community Outreach, by sponsoring an timeslot in the daily vigil that is 40 Days for Life.

Your council has chosen Tuesday, March 25th, which also happens to be the Solemnity of the Annunciation of our Lord to be day we gather in prayerful vigil at the BC Women’s Hospital in Vancouver. We will provide hot soup, buns and transport to the venue.

Brothers this is a FAMILY EVENT. You are encouraged to bring your wives and children and LEAD them in prayer as a father must.
