The Knights have been hosting the Family Movie Knight for some months now. We started off with the amazing story of the Martyrs in Mexico in Cristiada, For Greater Glory. Following that, we had the exciting Captain Philips, which told the story of the daring Easter Sunday rescue of Captain Phillips by Knight of Columbus Captain Castellano. Then in time for Lent, we had the Passion of Christ, and more recently, in conjunction with the March for Life we featured the movie Bella, an awesome pro-life movie. Most recently, we had The Triumph, a powerful documentary about the Blessed Mother’s appearance at Medjugorje and then followed up with the powerful pro-life movie, October Baby, which dramatized the real-life story of a woman who discovers that she was the saved child of an abortion gone wrong. We’ve also featured many other Christian movies.
This time around, we will be showing Son of God the story of Jesus told from the eyes of John, who was the only Apostle to not suffer martyrdom.
This is another great family movie and although rated PG-13 is not quite as violent as The Passion.
